{outfit} Do you Remember the 21st Night of September?

Happy First Day of Fall!!!!!!! For the weekend, I leave you with an outfit full of new pieces and old favorites!  My new, two sizes too big, Equipment blouse I scored at Marshalls for $39 is the newest addition to my closet.  I have been dying to own an Equipment blouse for a long while, so I couldn't pass this one up when I spotted it in the clearance section.  Unfortunately, since it engulfs me in fabric, I need to find creative ways to wear it so you can't tell how big it is.  It will have to do until I can find one in my size for a reasonable price! I also broke out my new aztec print jeans from Piperlime and threw on my beloved Burberry wedges from The Outnet Clearance sale a couple years ago! Of course Arnold, my Marc by Marc Jacobs purse made his usual appearance.

On this day my mom and I went for a quick jaunt to Macy's and Lord & Taylor because we had coupons.  I sort of wish we hadn't because at L&T they had the bag I've been lusting over lately: a maroon Michael Kors Hamilton East/West! It would have been $240 with my coupon, which is still too much, so I resisted...grr!! (I could go back for it though, the coupon lasts until Monday.)

Song of the Day: September by Earth Wind and Fire
[I chose this song because the lyrics perfectly fit the day]

Top: Equipment (Marshalls) gift card, Tee c/o LAMade and LuckyFABB, Jeans: Genetic Denim c/o Piperlime, Wedges: Burberry (The Outnet) $80, Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop), Bracelets: Burlington Coat Factory and c/o LuckyFABB, Watch: Michael Kors, Sunglasses: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Shopbop) gift card

  3. I love the print on the blouse - and what a great price! The tie is a great way to help it fit better - maybe it would be pretty tucked into a skirt as well?

  6. Glad you went back for the blouse - you can't tell its too big at all!

I attempted to take mine to the drycleaners, but they wanted $6.50 to clean it and made faces at the marks from the purse strap. So I did it myself again and they came out - but the silk will just never feel as soft as when I brought it home.

  7. Lovely outfit for the first day of Fall!!
I was singing that song today too! Even played it on my itunes....I just wished that I know how to do the dance to it...yea there's a dance.

Anyway - I'm glad you got the blouse because it would have been "I should've gotten it" situations if you hadn't!! It looks great with the jeans and purse!

  12. You wear it so well that it isn't at all obvious that it is too big for you so I wouldn't worry too much!

And you should just splurge on a bigger bag if you can afford it. I'm so glad I did, and I always see things like that as an investment...

Also, I'm so excited for you re the internship, when do you start? x
