{outfit} Business As Usual

Here is the outfit I wore to debut my Anjolee necklace (detail photos and information here.) I also wore the newest sweater in my closet. I got it on at Madewell when they had an additional 40% off sale items + free shipping, my favorite kind of sale! As I've said many times before - my Fall (and Winter) uniform is a sweater and jeans.  I need to force myself to wear skirts and dresses in the cold weather and to try new combinations, but on weekends I always fall back to my foolproof look.  Why dress up when all you'll be doing is hanging around at home or spending hours shopping at Marshalls, Home Depot and Michael's (like I did this day.)

Sweater: Madewell, Jeans:  rag & bone (Shopbop), Flats c/o Joie (also here),  Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs (Saks Friends & Family Sale),  Sunglasses: : Ray Ban 'Emma' (Marshalls),  Necklace c/o Anjolee, Watch: Skagen (Rue La La), Rings: vintage & Mom's

  1. Yes, I can totally relate to your dilemma. Last sunday I wore my leather pencil skirt around the house all day with my slippers on, because I wanted to wear and photograph the outfit, but I had no plans and barely left the house.

I like jeans and sweaters, they are easy and comfortable and cute. Maybe I should just accept the fact that outfit posts in the winter will be more boring?

  2. I can completely understand why your default is a sweater and jeans! I nearly froze my butt off taking pictures outside in a skirt yesterday! Loving your new sweater by the way!

  3. I feel ya about the default fall look -- sometimes it's just so cold, and you're doing such mundane things that you can't justify putting together a "cuter" outfit. But pssh I think this outfit is great! Love the colors and the unexpected print from the leopard flats. Cute!

  4. In our daily lives there aren't many places to wear all the stuff we buy... :/ which is why sometimes i can be the best dressed at a supermarket. Hey, they should give me a prize for this.

  6. I completely feel you on the sweater and jeans habit come fall/winter. I've literally had to force myself to get more creative this year because that's all I want to wear! However, from what I've seen, you have so many gorgeous sweaters, who can blame you for sticking with that?
